HAI!! =D

You’ve found my blog! And now you’re reading this because for some reason you wanna learn more about me. I’ll try to keep you interested, but I can’t make any promises ;p

My full name’s Annastasia, but everyone calls me Anna. I’m 19 years old. My birthday is April 23, and it fits because I hate winter with a passion and love spring <3 I live in the freezing cold state of Minnesota (hence why I hate the winter). I live in a barely existent town that’s not even on Google Maps. August 1st, 2011, I moved to the Twin Cities for a year, but certain events caused me to move back home, and, to be honest, I’m really glad. I learned a lot about myself in that year and I realized that the big city was not for me ^^; It was fun while it lasted though! I’m originally from Long Island, New York, which is probably why I had such an affinity for the city in the first place. Starting on January 11, 2013, I also started college at Mankato State University! 

I was born with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (a type of Muscular Dystrophy), or SMA for short. It’s a muscle killing disease, so I’ve been in a wheelchair my whole life, and my lungs don’t work the greatest. I have a tracheotomy tube to help with my breathing, and then I also have a feeding tube because I have the smallest stomach in the history of forever (lol ;p) and I wasn’t able to hold my weight. That seems like a hell of a lot of things wrong, am I right? But it’s really not that bad. You probably don’t believe me, but I actually like most of it. I’m not saying it doesn’t suck sometimes, ‘cause it definitely does, but the good outweighs the bad the majority of the time. I’ve had a lot of experiences most kids don’t get to have at my age and it’s taught me a lot, to which I’m very grateful. If things were different, I know I wouldn’t be the same person, and I quite like who I am, thank you very much =)

Most adults I meet treat me like I’m 7 instead of 18 and always talk like I have the worst life ever and that I must be such a poor little girl in a wheelchair (I think mostly because I’m one of the only “handicapped” kids here, and adults prefer to think they know everything instead of asking before they assume). Don’t think that’s true for a second. Even if that was crossing your mind, erase it quick. My life may be pretty boring, but it’s not empty. I lead a typical teenage life—it’s not great like in those movies or drama shows, but it’s by no means bad either. You can ask me whatever you want about my disability, I’m not sensitive about it. I know that’s the main thing people my age worry about—offending me—even though they’re really curious about it, so don’t be shy if you are! ^^ (although, I’m pretty sure I covered it all ;p)

I love my family. I’m the only girl out of 5 other boys and second youngest. My mom is a beast. You don’t mess with that woman. She’s everything to me. She’s taught me everything I know and I’d be lost without her. My little brother is more like a son than anything. He’s 8 years younger than me but probably one of my best friends. We do everything together, and although he annoys me sometimes, I love him. My stepdad’s like Red from That 70s Show, including the funny-ness ;p. And yes, THAT awesome.

I’m a writer. It’s pretty much my life. Usually I write stories, but I post poems/songs on here sometimes. I wrote a book. It’s a YA novel. It’s not published yet, but I’m working on it. I love to sing. I would die without music. I draw, mostly the characters from my book/other stories. But I draw scenes with my pastels and other random stuff too.

I LOVE video games, to the point of probably being a nerd for them. My favorites are Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, Super Street Fighter 4, Little Big Planet, and Left 4 Dead. I’m a Sony girl, but mostly ‘cause I can’t use the Xbox controllers very well ^^; I’ll admit I’m not very good at war/shooting games, but I like watching other people play them! =D

Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, American Horror Story, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, and That 70s Show are the only “real” shows I watch obsessively (although I’m losing interest in Supernatural…). Adventure Time and Regular Show are the best cartoons I’ve seen in YEARS (blame my little brother ;p). I’m an anime nerd too. My favorites are Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Full Metal Alchemist, Lucky Star, and Black Cat. 

Music is my life, as I said before. Concerts are the best things in the world. Some of my best memories were formed at venues. One day soon, I hope to find people who are just as passionate about music as me, because here, it’s not a big deal. My favorite bands are Three Days Grace, Paramore, Flyleaf, Thrice, Linkin Park, Underoath, A Day to Remember, Four Letter Lie, Framing Hanley, and All Time Low, but I like and listen to much, much more. I have a three song system. If I like three songs by the band/artist, I’ll look into them more. If I don’t…well, then sorry, but they’re not for me. Genres don’t matter. Mainstream or not doesn’t matter. Music is music. If I like it, I like it. If I don’t, I don’t.

I’m a strong believer in God, and sometimes I reblog stuff about Him, but not too often ‘cause that’s something I like to keep more to myself. However, this does not mean that I’m one of those scary, hateful “Christians” you see on TV. You’ll be hearing no hateful words from me, even if you send them my way first. So, please don’t be intimidated by this if you’re not of the same faith! I was raised to respect and appreciate all religions/lack there of. In fact, I’m a bit of an “odd” Christian myself because of my strong interests in more of the holistic sides of things, such as healing crystals and herbs, meditation, chakras, energy, etc. Those are other things I was raised around, so you’ll see me reblog them too. 

I swear often. I’m kinda a perfectionist. OCD Planner. I refuse to settle for anything less than my best. Sleep all day, stay up all night. I LOVE funny things. I put the pro in procrastination. I’m scared of spiders and swimming. I love tattoos, piercings, and crazy colored hair. They tell me I’m really good at advice, so if you need some and feel like you don’t have anyone else to talk to, even if you’re anon, I’ll try my best to help =). I’m pretty girly: I like fashion and dressing cute, make-up, hairstyles, jewelery, and painting my nails. But at the same time I’m totally okay with no make-up, a giant band t-shirt, and sweats (especially when I’m sick :p). I’m super tiny. The beach is my favorite place. Going out with friends and acting retarded is one of life’s best moments <3. I do this thing called pic spam, where I reblog all the pictures/quotes I liked. I try to warn you ahead of time though XD I don’t believe in starving myself to impress the media, so I eat what I want and post pictures of awesome food. I have a quick temper and often rant. I call people ‘love’ or ‘lovvie’ when I really like them, no matter who they are. I’m sarcastic and I’m brutally honest. 

If you wanna be my friend, you need to know two things: I hate hypocrites and I hate liars. Don’t do either and we should be good. Word of advice: You don’t wanna fuck with me. I may not be very strong physically, but that just means I’m extra good at tearing you apart mentally. I could be the greatest friend you ever had, but burn me, and I’ll be the greatest friend you ever lose.
